Submissions for this category will be judged on the quality of an interactive based project created by students in the RTA School of Media. NEW: Best Video Game Project
This category is accepting video game designs and projects created by students in the RTA School of Media. Submissions for this category will be judged on the concept of their video game design, the gameplay and the narrative. Projects that can be submitted include game design paperwork packages, game development scripts, video playback versions of video game projects (Mp4 or MOV files only), or links to video game demos. We will NOT be accepting video game demo files; they must be accessible through a clickable link. This category is accepting fact-based documentary submissions. Best Live Event
This category is accepting both live event planning and multi-camera coverage. Eligible submissions must have been created within the curriculum for any RTA class or co-curricular activities by or for the RTA community; they must have been created by a student (or students) within the RTA School of Media; they must have been created between April 12, 2021 and March 28, 2022. Nominees for this category will be judged on the quality of their coverage which must have been distributed live (or in the absence of such, EPKs and Production Bibles (PDF format) can be submitted to illustrate the merits of the production. Best Maker Project
This category is accepting any project that utilizes Maker practices. This includes using tools such as the 3-D printers, laser cutters, CNC mill, or equipment such as Arduino, Raspberry Pi, or any other new media specific equipment. All projects must have been created within the RTA curriculum. They must have been created between April 12, 2021 and March 28, 2022. Best SpiritLive Show
This category is accepting radio show/podcast submissions. Eligible submissions must have been created by students within the RTA School of Media as a part of SpiritLive show for the 2021 - 2022 school year. Nominees for this category will be judged on the quality of their programming and overall production value. Apply Here
Best Innovative Marketing
This category accepts any marketing campaign run by students within the RTA School of Media. Using elements such as graphic design, paid and unpaid advertising, interactive features, analytics, and consumer engagement, this category represents those interested in marketing, and who go above and beyond to reach their demographic. All projects must have been created within the RTA curriculum or co-curricular activities by or for the RTA community between April 12, 2021 and March 28, 2022. Nominees for this category will be judged based on analytics, engagement, and creative approach.
Submissions must include the following: the campaign name and reason for promotion; a written statement on how successful the campaign was, what their creative approach to the campaign entailed, and an explanation on why the campaign is innovative; links to social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Tik Tok, etc.); analytics (in-app analytics, hootsuite, sprout social etc.); faculty supervisor name (to confirm analytics); course code for which their campaign was created. This category is accepting project pitches in the format of pitch packages, pitch videos, or project bibles.
